Mitsubishi Electric UPS service in Toronto

Symetrix Canada is not the manufacturer of Mitsubishi Electric equipment. For a unit under warranty, check the warranty terms with the manufacturer first.

We maintain and repair Mitsubishi Electric UPS systems in Toronto and the GTA: the 9900 series, SUMMIT and 1100 Series in production, and the 7011A, 9700, 9800 and 2033 frames still carrying load in older rooms. Mitsubishi publishes a dated support phase for each model, and two common models reach the end of theirs within months.

What the phases mean

Active Support means the model is in production, with full technical support and every replacement part [6]. Sustained Support keeps support and parts until an announced date [4]. Best Effort Support narrows to limited support, field service and parts until its end date [1]. Obsolete means that date has passed [5].

The 9900A and 9800A-E

Both leave Best Effort Support soon: the 9900A in 12/2026, a projected date [1], and the 9800A-E in 03/2027 [2]. A replacement planned now goes in during a window you choose. One planned after a failed part goes in during the outage. Each visit on these frames records battery condition, capacitor and fan age, and alarm history, next to a replacement option sized from the measured load.

Keeping an older frame running

Obsolete and late-phase units can still be maintained. Batteries are replaced, filters and fans serviced, connections tightened and the event log read at every visit. Board-level repairs depend on parts that can still be found, which is why the condition record matters more each year.

Common questions

Who services Mitsubishi UPS systems in Toronto?

We maintain and repair Mitsubishi Electric UPS systems across Toronto and the GTA, from the 1100 Series to the 9900 series, including obsolete 2033 and 9800 frames.

Is the Mitsubishi 9900A still supported?

Only on a best-effort basis now. Mitsubishi projects that phase to end in 12/2026 and lists the 9900AEGIS as a potential replacement [1].

What does Obsolete mean on Mitsubishi's lifecycle page?

The announced end-of-support date has passed, and Mitsubishi no longer supplies technical support or replacement parts [5]. The unit can still be maintained; repairs depend on parts sourced elsewhere.

Do you replace batteries in Mitsubishi battery cabinets?

Yes. Each string is tested, blocks or full strings are replaced, and the old batteries go to recycling, on current and older frames alike.
