Commissioning, maintenance and modules on Delta systems

We commission new Delta units, maintain them on a schedule and repair them on site. The Modulon DPH is a modular frame, so a power module or battery shelf can be added as the load grows, and a frame sized for redundancy can lose a module without dropping the load. We check that the redundancy you paid for is still there at each visit, because a load that has grown into the spare module leaves the frame without it.

The Ultron range covers fixed-frame three-phase units from the HPH, at 20 to 120 kW 3, up to the DPM Gen2 for large data halls 2. Those frames are where planned maintenance pays most: capacitors, fans and batteries are replaced before they fail, during a window you choose.

What we check on a Delta unit

  • The event log and module or frame status, read before any reset
  • Each battery block or module against its last reading 4
  • Fans, air filters and the temperature at the UPS
  • Input, output and bypass readings, and the load on each phase and module
  • The transfer to bypass and back, to a written method for the live load

Common questions

Who services Delta UPS systems in Toronto?

Symetrix Canada installs, maintains and repairs Delta Modulon and Ultron UPS systems in Toronto and the GTA, with a reply and a quote within 4 business hours.

What sizes does the Delta Modulon DPH come in?

Delta lists the DPH at 15 to 60/105 kVA for 208 V systems 1.

Do you replace batteries in Delta UPS systems?

Yes. We test each string or battery module, replace what has failed or aged, and recycle the old batteries.

Can a Delta modular UPS be serviced without a shutdown?

Usually. Modules on a redundant frame can be swapped while the others carry the load; for work on the frame itself, we use the maintenance bypass under a method agreed with you in advance.
